coffee on us

Hello Sunday is approaching the halfway mark and we’d love to know what your favourite post  has been so far. So please leave a comment letting us know which one and why, and in a couple of weeks we’ll randomly select a commenter (the old names-in-a-hat trick) to be blessed with a coffee and cake date for two at one of Brisbane’s very awesome cafes… Good, of course, for a Sunday afternoon!

Comments can be made under this post until Monday, August 9. We’ll announce the lucky ducky the following day in a comment of our own and send an email to arrange delivery of the coveted voucher. Thanks!

*This competition is now closed and a winner has been picked. Thanks everyone who entered!

I liked Prince of Ascot, because it was funny.

I love, “How to place a bet”. Tradition is important, especially when time spent with grandparents can be cut short at any time. It doesn’t matter what the tradition is, as long as it is something learned and something loved. I love the grandpa’s words “What we got here is something different. What we got here is tradition”.

Vespa Dream – it made me laugh out loud, and I really like laughing.

Tegan – I love the way you write, it’s interesting and so easy to read. And Em, I always look forward to seeing what pics you’ll come up with each week.

Anyway my favourite so far is also the Prince of Ascot, ’cause if I lived up there I wouldn’t slum it with the People of the Valley either.

    I have three!
I’ve always loved when we were young. The word picture flows from the discussion of clothes and grows to set the scene so you laugh outright at the sand-in-the-face. Then comes the kiss. Surely that’s the crowning moment 😀
I like the underlined cinnamon, the thought of someone’s little joke finding the recipe for buttons refolding it and then deciding to leave it inside the button box in one person’s treasure.
And the honey-ginger heart about to be met for tea was exuberant writing filled with luscious laughter 😀 HAHA!! Am enjoying your adventure very much. Fav pic so far is the bicycle basket and the library sign.

Thank you wonderful friends for all your lovely comments! We get so excited over feedback like this. But the moment you have all been waiting so patiently for is finally here… Names were written, folded, jumbled with an extra shake of the hat for good luck! One was drawn, by our guest judge Ryan, and that lucky piece of paper held Vanessa Gillett’s name 🙂 Congratulations Vanessa, we’ll be in touch shortly via email to organise the delivery of your prize.
