light and letters

Welcome to Hello Sunday. We are Tegan and Emma.

Tegan is a writer and Emma is a photographer. Hello Sunday is our year-long pursuit, intended to challenge and inspire our creativity by providing us with a space to bounce off each other’s work. Each Sunday for the next 52 weeks we will post a photograph and accompanying titbit of fiction. And each week we will seek to delight.

We have three aims:
1. To celebrate what is Sunday – the day of time and leaves and picnics in the breeze.
2. To capture Brisbane – the big bits, the small bits, the lovely, dreamy, hidden bits.
3. To create something wonderful – a collection of stories told through light and letters.

So, please… forget about Monday and the daily grind and remember each week to say Hello Sunday.

Sunday in Brissie has to be better than Sunday in Toowwomba

Hazel, this is the very attitude we wish to change… You must go and find what is to be found (whether it’s in Brisbane, Toowoomba… even Oakey), and if there is nothing to be found, then you must make something yourself! Go forth now and let us know how your Sunday went!

The color white!! That’s what my Sunday consisted of.
On the ceilings and the walls I did covered with brush and roller, the color of snow.
Now I sit back and look at the empty canvas that is my lounge, I realise that to finish I
    require another Sunday and colour.
